New Pain

Something really different for me
to paint. This is the rough. Going to use
vibrant color in a quasi-abstract. At least
that is what I think I'm doing.
I am in a new stage in life. In the process of divorce. After
34 yrs. it is over.
The above piece, not done, is where I am at right now.
But I have hope for a new day.

Sorry for nothing new with my art. I was selling

Island Tropic

This work is painted with oils

Missed Sunset

I call this "missed Sunset." That's because the chairs are empty.
No one was in the chairs to see the sunset.

Summer Sail

"Summer Sail" is done with soft pastels
on Canson Mi-teintes Paper and is 12" x 16"

I wanted to cause a feeling of heat by using hot
colors and the deep shadowing of the sail boat.
I hope to do a series with sail boats because I'd love to learn to sail.
I want to try some different methods of applying
the pastel pigment with some of the other pieces.
So here's the first.

I did little to show fore or background as I wanted her
to be the "Main Thing."

Draped Nude- redone

This is a "re-do" of this piece. I didn't like the shadowing. I had
it wrong. Some shadows were in the wrong places and some areas that should
have been shadowed weren't.
Any way thisis better and the coloring
around the woman is also redone.
"Draped Nude" is done with soft pastels on
9" x 12" Canson Mi-Teintes paper.
I painted this work with Black Paper to get the skin tones to stand out more.
I'm doing another but will leave the paper black around the model.

Winter Footsteps

A piece I'm working on now. I have about eight different
pieces that are in different stages. Oils are much
different working with than soft pastels. I am enjoying both.

Jason and his Art Easel

This is my best little buddy, Jason. He just had his
4th birthday and is the youngest of my 4 grandsons. He is with
me about 5 days a week. We are best friends.
He likes doing art with his 'pop.' So,
I got this for his birthday.

My Studio- Table and Racks

use this table in my study.

Began "Spanish Flowers" last night. Will finish
this after the green
leaves dry some. The yellow and purple petals I'll
be painting gets mixed with the green too easily. The
back ground needs to be worked on also.

It isn't available as yet, I am going to add a hand shovel in the bottom right area.

A Van Gogh

"A Van Gogh" was lots of fun to do. I had to have help with
some of the coloring as I couldn't see the reds in the front plants,
and some of the other coloring in the sky and the trees.
But it was enjoyable to do the piece.

Blue Nude Revisited

This is a re-do of the Blue Nude seen below. I
darkened the background and ground plane. I like the new coloring.
Then took some pink out of her, so she is no
longer sunburned. and added some detail and improved the shape of her hair.

So this is the one that is now offered.
